Trying to process everything that happened in September, I can hardly believe it’s half way through October already. In order: put an offer on a house, broke my foot, went to D23 for the first time, experienced Disneyland on a scooter, moved into house, and somehow made it out alive. Continuing to have a visceral reaction when I see a Home Depot moving box 📦

Trying to process everything that happened in September, I can hardly believe it’s half way through October already. In order: put an offer on a house, broke my foot, went to D23 for the first time, experienced Disneyland on a scooter, moved into house, and somehow made it out alive. Working on finding my own art style…because part of having ADHD means my mind gets bored doing the same thing over and over again and I seek out new things to try…which means it’s hard for me to focus on one art style 🤦🏻‍♀️ so it feels like starting over, but I know there are colors and styles that I already gravitate towards. One good test is to build my own curated pencil collection 😅 ➡️ #adhdartist

#FBF Still life oil painting from college. I remember very distinctly working for weeks on making the perfect color choices for my composition and then the teacher saying "Looks amazing. Now paint over it." And everyone in the class standing in silence, not sure if she was being serious. But she was being serious. This was the "Inspired by Matisse" lesson that we were not expecting. This is probably why I'm a big fan of using unexpected colors combinations in my work. #henrimatisse #painting #modernart #oilpainting #flashbackfriday

When I first became aware of Monsteras, I didn't think I would be able to 1.) keep one alive and 2.) Find a plant nursery in the bay area that sold them. SO I turned to the internet and found an Etsy seller in Florida that would ship them. I was still skeptical that it would survive shipping and bay area weather. 2 years later and I'm transplanting my Florida plant baby to a larger pot and a whole rooted section broke off and Beyonce was born. 20" x 16" acrylic on canvas "Beyonce" is now available in the shop!
